Our history
Gateway is proud to have 30 years of world class retail solutions behind us. We have been producing security solutions for retail stores in our factory in Motala, Sweden since 1994. In the beginning the focus was entirely on antennas but later evolved to include hard tags, labels, surveillance equipment and store managing tools.
In 2004 Gateway became a part of the Gunnebo group, a big player within the security business. From 2020, Gateway operated under new international ownership, always maintaining its focus on quality and innovation in retail security.
A new chapter began in 2025, when Gateway joined Inwave, a retail tech company focused on software development for loss prevention and operational efficiency. This move connects Gateway's legacy in EAS with Inwave's expertise in AIoT, data intelligence and connectivity, while keeping Gateway's local team and manufacturing base in Sweden.

Most of our antennas are hand assembled by our highly skilled assemblers and goes through stringent testing and quality control before it leaves the
factory floor.
